5 steps for successful video conferences
Video conferencing and online meetings have evolved from the exception to the norm. But what do you have to consider in order to conduct successful video conferences and inspire the conversation partner? The following five tips will help you get the most out of your next call...
1. Fiat Lux - shine in the right light
In many offices, artificial ceiling lighting is used that casts shadows on the face – so a light source that shines on the face from the front is recommended. The light should be as natural as possible to prevent blue or green skin in the meeting. It is also advisable to adjust the brightness of the device used to avoid reflections. For this we have ours Daylight lamp HEAVN One designed: Thanks to the large-area light emission, the adjustable illuminance and the dynamic color temperature adjustment, the desk lamp becomes an all-in-one lighting concept.

2. Position the camera well
The lens of the webcam, laptop or smartphone should never film from the bottom up - to compensate for this awkward angle, you can place the device on a stack of books or a box. You look better at eye level and the conversation doesn't come across as "top down".
But not only the position of the camera is important for successful video conferences - its distance from the lens also needs to be chosen well. Sitting too close to the lens can result in distortions - the image section is optimally selected if part of the upper body is also visible and there is still some space above the head. It is also advisable to check the position before and not during the call.
3. Show attitude
A chin stretched as far down as possible (and not forward) and an upper body leaning slightly forward convey sovereignty. There are better moments than the video conference to sit back and relax.
4. The background calm, but not too calm
Striking patterns or movements in the background can be distracting, but the environment should not be too monotonous either. In addition, it is important to pay special attention to the lighting - make sure that the background is not better staged than the face.

5. Dress code - less is more
Basically, you can't go wrong with clothes in neutral colors. Bright and luminous tops often reflect the light too much, patterned clothes distract from what is happening.
