Frequently asked questions
What level of illuminance do I need in my dental practice?
In a practice, this depends on the respective area. The requirements are as follows:
Reception, work & office area: at least 500 lux
Treatment room: at least 1000 lux
oral cavity area: at least 8000 lux
If you decide to create a complete lighting concept for a renovation or a new building, we strongly recommend lighting planning so that a harmonious lighting concept is created. Please feel free to contact us, we will be happy to advise you!
At what height should the LED pendant light be positioned in the treatment room?
When positioning the pendant lamp, care should always be taken to ensure that the minimum requirements for the illuminance on the treatment center are met. In order for this to be fulfilled with our round pendant light MED, the installation height of 2,3 m must not be exceeded.
Should I take the lamp dimmable or non-dimmable?
Unfortunately, there is no clear yes or no to this question. That depends entirely on the user. Depending on your sensitivity to light, it can definitely make sense to adjust the lamp individually and therefore have it dimmable. Based on our experience, we have had customers, especially in the dental sector, who deliberately chose the lamp not to be dimmable. For the simple reason that every employee works under the same lighting conditions and thus quality is ensured uniformly. So we give you the choice and you can decide for yourself what you prefer.
Does pendant luminaires have an indirect light component and does this make sense?
Yes! Whether an indirect light component, or ID for short, makes sense depends on the height of the room! In high rooms, an indirect light component does not make sense because the reflection of the light from the ceiling is rather low. Depending on the hanging height of the lights, the indirect light component and also the illuminance in the room varies. From our experience, we have always been able to achieve positive effects from the indirect light component with ceiling heights of up to 2,8 m. Finally, an indirect light component can avoid a cave effect and create a more pleasant feeling of space by brightening the ceiling.
Can the LED modules be replaced in the event of a defect or does the entire luminaire have to be disposed of?
The LED modules of our magnifying lamps can be replaced at low cost. Simply contact us and we will take care of your concerns as quickly as possible.
