Which LED machine light is right for my application?
The choice depends on the location and environmental conditions. For enclosed machine rooms, we recommend protective tube lights, light bars, or surface-mounted lights with a high protection rating (IP65–IP67). For open work areas, articulated lights or flexible arm lights are suitable for targeted illumination.
Are the machine lights oil-resistant and vibration-proof?
Yes. Our LED machine lights are specially designed for industrial requirements: resistant to oil, coolant, chips, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations – ideal for use in CNC machines, milling machines, or turning centers.
Which protection classes are relevant for machine lights?
For use in machine environments, protection ratings of IP65 and higher (dustproof and jet-proof) are standard. For direct contact with coolants or high humidity, IP67 or higher is recommended.
Are your machine lights also suitable for retrofitting?
Absolutely. Our machine lights are designed for easy retrofitting – including suitable mounting options (magnetic base, screw mounting, flexible arm, and articulated base). They can be easily integrated even into older machines.
Are your machine lights also suitable for continuous use in three-shift operation?
Yes. Our luminaires are designed for continuous operation – with thermally optimized housings, long-lasting LED chips, and robust electronics. The light quality remains consistent even after many hours of operation.
What color temperature is ideal for LED machine lights?
For industrial machine workplaces, a colour temperature in the range of 4000 K to 5700 K(neutral white to daylight white). This light color supports good contrast, precise work, and reduces error rates.
Does the entire luminaire have to be disposed of as soon as the LED modules are defective?
Even though our luminaires are designed for a long service life, parts may need to be replaced from time to time. With RMD task lights, the bulbs and components are not permanently installed and can be replaced at a low cost. Simply email us or give us a call, and we'll take care of your needs.
