Lights for model builders
Good light is particularly important for fine work in the model making workshop when it comes to working on the smallest components in true-to-life colors. In order to meet the high requirements, we therefore recommend the following lighting options.
LED Articulated lights
LED articulated light Black Line Pro

The LED Premium is absolutely worth its price. Wonderfully bright, but does not dazzle, very beautifully finished and can be easily and flexibly adjusted. With something that is used almost every day and makes painting miniatures much more pleasant, it can also be a bit more expensive.

I chose the Pure to have the table free. I work from home at my dining table and thanks to the new pendant lamp I can now work perfectly during the day and eat in the evening under a relaxed light without having to carry away a table lamp. A real asset. 💪

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions regarding the right light for modelers.
Why buy an RMD task light?
In contrast to many other providers of workplace lighting, "Lichttechnik Meier" pays special attention to meeting the individual needs of our customers and finding a suitable lighting concept especially for your area of application. The experience we have gathered over the years plays a key role in finding a suitable solution for you. The passion for quality, design, innovation and sustainability is also reflected in our products.
Which light for model builders?
Lights for model builders should have been specially developed for the requirements of a model workshop. Due to the variety of different versions of articulated, flexible arm and magnifying lamps, the lighting can be deliberately matched to your workbench. For a high level of visual comfort, we at RMD use the latest LED technology and ergonomic design with the aim of meeting the individual requirements of model makers in terms of light and flexibility. When developing our RMD workplace lights, we always ensure that the minimum requirements for lighting in model making workshops are met to the best possible extent, with the aim of creating the conditions for effortless and error-free work.
What level of illumination do I need as a model builder?
According to the DIN standard, the lighting intensity at the model making workplace should not be less than 1500 lux. However, since high levels of illumination are required, especially when processing small details, we recommend an illumination level of at least 2800 lux and even 3300 lux or more in rooms with little daylight.
Are there different ways to attach my articulated light?
Flexibility is very important in the model making workshop. We therefore offer a variety of different ways to set up or attach your LED articulated light in the workshop. Depending on the spatial conditions, the lamp can be attached to the side, directly on the workbench or on an opposite wall. This keeps the workplace free and the light does not get in the way. A summary of all options can be found in the category “Accessories for LED articulated lights”.
Can the modules of the light be replaced if there is a possible defect?
In the spirit of sustainability, all of our LED modules can be replaced if damaged, so the lamp does not have to be thrown away immediately. Simply contact us by email, telephone or using the contact form on our website and we will replace the LED modules in your light for a small fee.
