What is Human Centric Lighting (HCL)?
Nowadays, many people spend more than 90% of the time indoors – thanks to Human Centric Lighting (HCL), they still always have the best light available.
But what is Human Centric Lighting, or HCL for short?
Human Centric Lighting (HCL) simulates the natural daylight flow through the continuous adjustment of brightness and color temperature in offices or in the home office
The adapted lighting brings decisive advantages:
-
- In good lighting conditions, people work more concentrated, make fewer mistakes and tire less quickly.
- Light adapted to the time of day promotes health and well-being.
- The natural biorhythm is promoted, which increases productivity and creativity.
- Human Centric Lighting (HCL) combines activation and relaxation in one product.
Human Centric Lighting (HCL) aims to simulate the natural course of daylight as best as possible in order to exploit the resulting positive effects on people. The color spectrum of the light changes over the course of the day: the light that is still warm at sunrise becomes cooler in the early hours of the morning and at midday and is characterized by a high proportion of blue light. The blue component, which among other things makes us awake and active, decreases again in the evening and after sunset a low illuminance prepares us for going to sleep. An efficient and intelligent lighting system must therefore be able to stimulate with high illuminance levels during the day and at the same time be able to suppress the stimulation in the evening or at night with low illuminance levels.
Our new office lights HEAVN One and Pure AV imitate the natural course of daylight and supports your biorhythm.
