Next Generation - family business in the 2nd generation. Lichttechnik Rolf Meier becomes Lichttechnik Meier.

Founded in 2003, the company Lichttechnik Meier has been developing, producing and selling high-quality LED workplace lighting with a focus on design, functionality and quality for 20 years. In the early years, the company focused on lighting dental laboratories, dental practices, as well as jewelry and watchmaking workshops. The company has used the experience gained in recent years to dynamically expand the product portfolio to include office lighting. The close cooperation with customers and partners was the basis for a consistent further development of the products and expansion of the product portfolio.

The former managing director and founder of the company Rolf Meier is now starting his well-deserved retirement and looks back:

It was an honor for me…

"I am pleased to hand over the company Lichttechnik Rolf Meier, founded in 2003, to my son Markus Meier, who has been at my side since 2019. As the new managing director, he will take over the family business from the beginning of this year, so that I can withdraw from the main business. Looking back on 20 wonderful years and a strong community, I now see my future as a retiree. Even though I'm looking forward to the new chapter in my life, as many will understand, it's not easy for me. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all my companions for the great cooperation, from which one or the other friendship arose. Without your support and trust, the company would not be where it is today.”

I'm honoured…

"It is an honor for me to be able to continue my father's company as the new managing director. From a young age I had many points of contact with the subject of light and lighting technology through my father. In addition to my studies, I have been working with my father with great interest and joy since 2019 and have already been able to realize great ideas together with him. All the experience and knowledge that I was able to gather are valuable treasures for me on the way to self-employment. After completing my master's degree in the field of digital transformation, I am now looking forward to accompanying the company into the future and putting the knowledge I have learned into practice. I see the new position in the management of the company as a great opportunity, but also as a challenge. I look forward to realizing my visions in the future and mastering new tasks and problems. I am very grateful for the support from our close partners, customers and, above all, from my father!”

Ready for new challenges...

"I'm really looking forward to my new position as Marketing Manager at Lichttechnik Meier. I got to know Markus during our bachelor’s degree in 2017 and I am happy that we are now going together not only privately but also professionally. Together with him, I have been able to gain exciting insights into the industry and the company for several years and have been involved in great projects such as creating a new company website or expanding the product portfolio. I was able to learn an incredible amount and am particularly grateful for the trust placed in me. I am now looking forward to further expanding my knowledge and skills in my new role and to the company together with Markus and his father as he retires "Mentor" to accompany and grow in the future. I am convinced that as a team we have the ability to achieve the company's goals and take the company to a new level."

Our goals and visions for the company Lichttechnik Meier are to maintain the close partnerships with our customers and suppliers and to further improve the product cycle in the future and make it more sustainable. We want to gradually expand our range with high-quality products in order to be able to illuminate other areas of application and thus use our experience and competence in this area. In addition, we always want to improve our customer service in order to build long-term customer relationships. We are convinced that high customer satisfaction and good service are the key to success, especially as a small, growing company. It is therefore important for us to continuously expand and optimize this area. Our goal is not only to offer our customers high-quality products, but also to provide them with comprehensive advice and support in order to implement needs-based lighting solutions.
