Description
Our Composite Line dental light was specially developed for demanding dental work. The blue light component is reduced with the push of a button, allowing composite to cure significantly more slowly and remain workable for considerably longer. With a CRI of 97, colors and surfaces are reproduced with great detail. The homogeneous, rectangular illumination ensures maximum precision and shadow-free illumination at the workbench.
The powerful LED head delivers high illumination for optimal visibility of every detail. Thanks to the flexibly adjustable arm, the light can be positioned effortlessly and precisely—perfect for daily use in laboratories and medical practices.
Light details
Luminous flux The luminous flux indicates how much visible light a light source emits in all directions and is measured in lumens (lm). It describes the brightness of the light source and determines how well a room is illuminated. |
4080 lumens (work light) / 2548 lumens (composite mode) |
---|---|
Illuminance (40cm) The illuminance, measured in lux (lx), describes the amount of light that hits a surface. A higher lux value means more brightness. |
7300 lux (working light) / 4000 lux (composite mode) |
Color temperature The color temperature indicates how warm or cold the light appears, measured in Kelvin (K). Low values produce warm, yellowish light, high values produce cool, bluish light. |
5700 K (working light) / 3000 K (composite mode – reduced blue light) |
Color rendering Color rendering describes how natural and accurate a light source makes the colors of objects appear. It is measured using the color rendering index (CRI), with higher values meaning better color representation. |
CRI > 95 (typ. 97) (working light) / CRI > 90 (typ. 94) (composite mode) |
Performance |
32 W (work light) / 16 W (composite mode) |
Risk group Photobiological risk groups assess possible light damage: RG0 means no risk, RG1 a low risk, RG2 a moderate risk and RG3 a high risk with potential damage even after short exposure. |

Lifespan The LB value indicates the longevity of a luminaire. L describes the remaining luminous flux (e.g., L80 = 80% brightness), and B the proportion of LEDs that are below this (e.g., B10 = 10% dimmer). Example: L80B10 @ 50.000h means that 50.000% of the brightness is still maintained after 80 hours. |

What Our Customers Say
Excellent light quality with CRI 97 for precise colors. The stable gas spring arm allows flexible adjustment, and the dimmable brightness with nine color modes ensures versatility. High quality and durable - a clear recommendation!
The elegant design and excellent light quality ensure perfect working conditions. The high-quality workmanship is clearly noticeable - a clear recommendation for demanding environments!
The lamp is absolutely worth its price. 😍 Wonderfully bright, yet not blinding, very beautifully made and can be adjusted easily and flexibly. For something that is used almost every day and makes painting miniatures much more pleasant, it can sometimes be a little more expensive. 😊
We had great advice where our wishes were taken into account and we were also able to test the lamp first. The switch to the LED Pro Line 24W articulated light ultimately significantly improved the working and visual conditions for our employees.
RMD's lighting solution for watchmakers is simply fantastic! It offers brilliant luminosity, glare-free light and easy installation.
Light quality great! Easy installation and a beautiful timeless design. I can only recommend!
No unwanted hardening
With just the touch of a button, the Composite Line specifically reduces the blue light component – the composite cures significantly more slowly and remains malleable longer. This allows even complex layering to be implemented with control and precision, without any time pressure or material loss.
Color perception at the highest level
With a excellent CRI of 97 The Composite Line LED articulated light shows colors, surfaces, and transitions as they truly are. The large-area, shadow-free illumination clearly highlights every detail – essential for color matching, texturing, and quality control.
Reliable. Flexible. Precise.
Uncompromising quality – 100% Made in Germany. Its robust housing and durable technology make the LED Composite Line the ideal choice for daily use in the laboratory. The high-quality gas spring arm let yourself stepless and effortless into any position and stays exactly where you need it – without any readjustment. Stable, reliable, low-maintenance – an investment that pays off.
Simply switch. See it all in one place.
Two clearly defined light modes – a bright working light and composite light – can be switched at the touch of a button. This ensures clear standards, consistent conditions and reproducible results at every workplace– without any complicated settings or error-prone lighting effects.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Composite Line differ from other dental lights?
Our light offers a unique combination of high color fidelity (CRI 97), targeted blue light reduction at the touch of a button, and a homogeneous, rectangular light surface for shadow-free illumination – perfectly tailored to the specific requirements of dental technology.
Why is blue light reduction so important for composite editing?
Composite cures under blue light at approximately 460 nm. Many lights emit strong radiation in this spectrum, causing the material to cure too quickly and shortening processing time. Our light specifically reduces the blue light component at the touch of a button, allowing the composite to cure more slowly and allowing you to work with greater precision for longer – without any loss of brightness or color.
For which workplaces is the lamp suitable?
The Composite Line was developed specifically for dental labs and dental technicians working with composite materials. Thanks to the special Composite mode, which reduces the blue light component, processing time is significantly extended – so the material remains malleable longer and you can model more precisely. The shadow-free, homogeneous illumination and the high CRI value also ensure perfect visibility of colors and details. This makes the light optimally suited to the requirements of demanding composite workstations in the lab and in the practice.
How do I attach the articulated light?
Depending on the application requirements, there are a variety of different mounting options for your RMD workplace light. You can choose from: screw-on flange, table clamp, wall bracket and table base. Take a look for yourself and discover the suitable fastenings for the respective articulated lamp on the product page.
How can I clean my articulated light?
Our articulated lights made of anodized aluminum generally require very little maintenance, even when used daily. However, after a while it can happen that the lamp housing fades due to dust and dirt - the lamp needs to be cleaned. You can find out how best to do this in our short article: Care and cleaning tips for LED lights.
Is the work light identical to the light of other RMD luminaires?
Yes, the work light is matched to the proven RMD LED technology and guarantees consistently high light quality and color fidelity – for a harmonious overall system at your workplace.
How can I return my purchased lamp?
You can return the lamp within 14 days without giving a reason. Payments already made will be refunded in full after receipt of the return. The refund will be made using the payment method you have chosen. To return an item, please fill out the return form on the following page. We will then take care of everything else.
