Product description
The FLEX MFL LED flexible arm light provides pinpoint work light exactly where you need it. Its 18° spotlight delivers 5000 lx at a distance of 50 cm, making edges and contours visible where diffused or glaring ambient light is lacking. The robust flexible arm with its rotating/swiveling head remains stable and does not spring back. A full metal housing and safety glass ensure durability; IP54 protection provides additional protection against dust and splashing water – ideal for precision assembly, visual inspection, and measuring stations. Depending on the application, you can choose between AC 100–240 V for mains operation or DC 12–24 V for machine operation. Optional accessories such as a magnetic base, table clamp, wall bracket, or table stand expand the mounting options. The FLEX MFL flexible arm light is the compact solution when detailed work requires precise, glare-free light.

For which applications are flexible arm lights suitable?

They are also frequently used in laboratories or on analysis and testing machines because they provide precise, glare-free illumination.
Which protection class is appropriate for flexible arm lights?
For industrial environments, we recommend flexible arm luminaires with at least IP65 or IP67 protection. These protection ratings ensure that the luminaires are dustproof, protected against water jets, and even temporary submersion. This ensures that flexible arm luminaires remain permanently operational even when exposed to oil, coolants, or heavy use.
What light color and brightness are optimal for flexible arm lights?
For industrial applications, we recommend flexible arm lights with color temperatures between 4000 K (neutral white) and 5000 K (daylight-like). These color temperatures offer high visual acuity with pleasant brightness. Depending on the application, flexible arm lights should provide at least 1000 lumens or more to create optimal lighting conditions without shadows.
Can flexible arm lights be easily retrofitted?

What is the difference between flexible arm lights and articulated lights?
Flex-arm lights feature a flexible gooseneck that can be adjusted continuously in any direction without a fixed grid. They are particularly suitable for spot lighting in confined spaces, such as during delicate assembly or inspection work.
Articulated luminaires, on the other hand, have defined rotation and tilt axes, allowing for targeted, but more limited, movement. They are primarily used where larger areas need to be evenly illuminated—for example, at wide workbenches or production workstations.
Can flexible arm lights be connected to machine controls?
Many models can be connected directly to machine controls with a 24 V supply voltage. This allows flexible arm lights to be switched on and off automatically with the machine or controlled via operating panels – ideal for seamless integration into existing systems.
