What level of illuminance do I need in my dental practice?
In a practice, this depends on the respective area. The requirements are as follows:
- Reception, work and office area: at least 500 lux
- Treatment room: at least 1000 lux
- oral cavity area: at least 8000 lux

Should I take the lamp dimmable or non-dimmable?
Unfortunately, there's no simple yes or no answer to this question – it depends entirely on the user. Depending on light sensitivity, it can certainly make sense to adjust the light to your individual needs and therefore choose a dimmable model. However, in our experience, particularly in the dental field, we've also had customers who deliberately chose non-dimmable lights – for the simple reason that every employee works under the same lighting conditions, thus ensuring consistent quality. So, we leave the choice up to you; you can decide what you prefer.
Does pendant luminaires have an indirect light component and does this make sense?
Yes! Whether indirect lighting (ID) is beneficial depends on the room height. In high rooms, indirect lighting is less effective because the reflection of light from the ceiling is rather low. The proportion of indirect light, and therefore the illuminance in the room, varies depending on the mounting height of the light fixtures. In our experience, we have consistently observed positive effects of indirect lighting with ceiling heights of up to 2,8 meters. Ultimately, indirect lighting prevents a cave-like effect and creates a more pleasant atmosphere by illuminating the ceiling.
If the LED modules are defective, can they be replaced, or does the entire light fixture have to be disposed of?
The LED modules in our treatment room lights can be replaced at a low cost. Simply contact us, and we'll take care of your request as quickly as possible.
