Task lights
For effortless and error-free performance of your visual tasks, our RMD workplace luminaires offer intelligent lighting solutions of the highest technical standard. To best meet task-specific requirements, we offer various model series in the categories of LED pendant luminaires, LED articulated luminaires, LED magnifying luminaires, LED flexible arm luminaires, and LED treatment room luminaires.
Where are articulated lights used?
LED articulated lights can be used in a variety of ways. Their big advantage is that they are easy to install and can provide targeted light. This form of direct lighting is deliberately used in activities where higher visual requirements are required. Examples of this include: Testing and assembly activities in industry or in laboratories.
How do I install an articulated light?
There are a variety of mounting options here. The articulated lamp can either be mounted directly on the table or on the wall. It's best to make yourself one of ours "Accessories for articulated lights" a first impression. There will definitely be something there.
Which articulated light do I need?
This depends largely on the area of application. In principle, however, one can say the brighter the better and if, for example, colors can be easily recognized under the light, then the lamp should definitely have one high color rendering to have ( CRI > 90 better 95). Another feature is the articulated arm. If the lamp is to be adjusted more frequently, a gas pressure spring arm can be used, as this simplifies positioning and is therefore more user-friendly.
What makes our articulated lights special?
Our articulated lights, on the other hand, are characterized by their unique gas pressure spring arm technology, high illuminance (up to 9000 lux) and excellent color rendering values (CRI 97) at a fair price-performance ratio.
When does a pendant light make sense as direct lighting?
Many of our customers use pendant lights because they do not take up space directly on the work surface and create an overall calmer ambience. But there is no right or wrong here. An articulated lamp directly on the table can produce just as good light. It is therefore, on the one hand, a visual question and, of course, also one of the user's preference as to how he or she prefers to work.
How is a pendant light installed?
Depending on the model, our pendant lights can be mounted using a height-adjustable drawbar suspension (50-150cm extension length) or steel cable suspension. Installation is usually done using a 3-pin cable. We can also install a DALI control upon request. You decide!
How is the pendant light operated?
There is no clear answer in today's lighting technology. One controls via APP, the other via their home management system, etc. What we determined here is that a switch always makes sense for direct lighting and is therefore installed in all models. This means the user always has control over when the light should be on or off. Of course, our pendant lights can also be individually adapted to your needs.
What makes our pendant lights special?
Thanks to high illuminance, high color rendering values and flexible height adjustment, our pendant lights adapt perfectly to work with high visual requirements. Individual lengths can also be achieved through in-house production, so that we can respond precisely to your needs.
Where are magnifying lights used?
Magnifying lamps are used in various areas where precise work and good visibility are required, such as medicine, cosmetics, electronics, jewelry making, crafts, research and hobbies. They offer a combination of magnification and illumination that allows fine details to be seen clearly and work to be carried out accurately.
Which magnification do I need?
The magnification required for magnifying lamps varies depending on the application: 3x to 5x are common in medicine and cosmetics, 3x to 10x in electronics and precision engineering, 5x to 10x in jewelry making, 2x to 5x in crafts and model making, and 5x to 20x in research laboratories , and in the hobby sector usually 2x to 5x. The choice of magnification depends on the level of detail of the work.
How do I attach the magnifying lamp?
There are numerous mounting options available. The magnifying lamp can be mounted directly on the table or on the wall. It's best to see for yourself in our “Accessories for magnifying lamps"A first impression. There will certainly be something there."
What makes our magnifying lights special?
We use glass lenses in all models of our magnifying lamps. These offer advantages over plastic lenses such as higher optical quality, better scratch resistance, longer service life and greater resistance to chemical influences. These properties make them ideal for applications that require maximum precision and durability.
When are flexible arm lights used?
Flex arm lights are suitable for machines where flexible and precise lighting is required, such as processing machines, inspection and testing stations, assembly workstations, repair and maintenance work, as well as sewing and textile machines. They improve visibility and precision by positioning the light exactly where it is needed.
How can flexible arm lights be installed?
Here you have a variety of mounting options. The flexible arm lamp can either be mounted directly on the table or attached to the machine itself using a magnetic base. It's best to familiarize yourself with the options in our “Accessories for flexible arm lights"A first impression. There will certainly be something there."
What are the advantages of flexible arm lights?
The flexibility of the arm allows the light to be precisely aimed at different work areas and angles. This allows the light to be placed exactly where it is needed to ensure optimal lighting.
What makes our flexible arm lights special?
Thanks to their robust metal gooseneck, our flexible arm lights offer precise and long-lasting lighting in various work environments. In addition, they can be easily integrated into the working environment and increase comfort while working.

The practice also looks significantly more modern. It's definitely an investment that has paid off – both the planning and the lighting fixtures.
From the initial consultation to the final implementation, everything went smoothly. The lighting design was precisely tailored to our practice, taking all areas into account. We are particularly impressed with the task lighting – the light quality is excellent and significantly reduces fatigue during the workday.
Together we redesigned and implemented the treatment room – and the difference is enormous. The lighting is now perfect, without glare, and we can work much more precisely. You can immediately tell that real experience in lighting design went into this. The lights used are high-quality and make a difference every day.
The collaboration on the lighting design was absolutely professional from the very beginning. Our entire dental practice now appears significantly brighter, more structured, and at the same time much more pleasant for patients. We were particularly impressed by how individually our rooms were taken into account. The light fixtures themselves are also of a completely different quality than before.
From planning to implementation, everything was handled with absolute professionalism. The entire laboratory now appears brighter, more structured, and significantly more pleasant to work in. It's immediately apparent that the lighting was specifically designed for dental laboratories.
Since switching to the new lighting, work in the lab has improved significantly. Colors can be assessed much more accurately, and eyes tire considerably less, even after long workdays. It was a truly worthwhile investment.
